Mark is an associate attorney at Santen & Hughes who focuses his practice on general civil litigation. Mark serves clients in a variety of areas of litigation, including nursing home abuse and neglect, personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial and business litigation, construction and real estate disputes, class actions, domestic relations, and civil rights cases.
Mark has a passion for representing families and individuals in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. He is committed to providing a voice to the voiceless, especially the elderly and the profoundly disabled. Mark has devoted much of his practice to prosecuting cases of neglect, abuse, and malpractice against nursing homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled.
Mark has represented clients at every phase of litigation from pre-suit investigation to mediation, trial, and appeals. Mark prides himself on providing passionate and compassionate representation to his clients.
Mark is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. He is an active member of the American Association for Justice, the Ohio Association for Justice, the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Southwest Ohio Trial Lawyers Association, and the Potter Stewart Inn of Court.
Originally from Virginia, Mark attended Hampden-Sydney College, where he earned a B.A. cum laude with Honors in Latin and Greek and Classical Studies. Mark holds an M.A. from Florida State University in Latin. After a successful career in education, Mark attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law in Cincinnati, where he resides with his wife, Sara, son Roman, daughter Iris, and dog Beau.
